So you are interested in becoming a member of The Herpetological Society of Ireland. There are many great advantages to becoming a member. You become actively involved in a national society that is dedicated to your hobby.
We publish our very own publication named Lacerta. It is a full color 20 page publication that is released every 3 months to our members. We encourage our members to submit their own articles, photographs and artwork. It is ISSN registered and stocked in the national Libraries in Ireland and the UK. A great way to become a published author one would agree.
There are multiple workshops, lectures, fieldtrips and events planned for the 2010 calendar year alone. The members section of our website contains listings of jobs that are available specifically for people in the field of Herpetology. We have a directory of books and publications that are recommended for young budding herpetologists as well experienced individuals who are looking for information to update their knowledge.
